What a hassle! Upgrading to Shaw 300mbps only for my network setup to poop its pants.

The ISP set me up in bridged mode, like usual, but I thought I’d put on a technician hat and see what their “Advanced WiFi Modem” is all about…which somewhat falls short of my Apple Airport Extreme.

The long and short is, I’m glad I wired half my house with Ethernet! The Shaw modem covers part, and my Airports work terrific in bridged mode.

I can even post from my phone in the bedroom super reliably now!
